What we warrant, in plain English
Two pieces of paper come with every Ocoee Concrete & Pavers installation: our written 2-year workmanship warranty (issued and signed at project completion) and the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty on the pavers themselves. Together they cover essentially every realistic failure mode for a residential paver or concrete installation.
2-Year Workmanship Warranty
From Ocoee Concrete & Pavers
Covers settlement, joint sand failure, edge restraint failure, drainage problems, and any installation defect for 2 years from completion date. Transferable to next property owner.
Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty
From Belgard / Tremron
Covers structural failure of the paver itself (cracking under normal load, manufacturing defects) for the lifetime of the original installation.
What our 2-year workmanship warranty covers
- Base settlement. If the base settles enough to create a visible depression (more than 3/8 inch deflection from flat), we lift the affected pavers, recompact, and reset — at no charge.
- Polymeric joint sand failure. If polymeric sand washes out, cracks, or fails to harden properly, we re-apply at no charge.
- Edge restraint failure. If the PVC edge restraint shifts, breaks, or pulls away from spikes, we replace and re-secure at no charge.
- Drainage issues. If standing water pools in an area where we installed proper slope, we re-grade at no charge.
- Concrete cracking beyond normal hairlines. Hairline cracks (under 1/16 inch) are inherent to all concrete. Cracks wider than that within 2 years are covered.
What’s NOT covered (in plain English)
- Acts of God: hurricanes, tropical storms, sinkholes, lightning damage
- Vehicle impact: we’re not responsible if a truck backs over your pavers or a tree branch falls
- Root damage: if you plant a tree near the installation and roots push pavers up, that’s a homeowner-side issue
- Staining and color fade: manufacturer paver colors are UV-resistant but not UV-proof; some fade over decades
- Improper sealer: if you (or another contractor) apply a sealer that traps moisture or reacts with polymeric sand, that voids the workmanship warranty
- De-icer damage: rare in Florida, but rock salt and chemical de-icers damage concrete and pavers and are not covered
How the warranty actually works
If you see an issue:
- Email a photo to [email protected] or send via WhatsApp at (689) 243-5726
- We’ll schedule an inspection within 5 business days
- If the issue is covered, repair work is scheduled at no charge (typically within 2 weeks of inspection)
- If the issue is outside warranty coverage, we provide a written explanation and quote for paid repair if requested
What happens after year 2?
The written workmanship warranty ends, but the manufacturer paver warranty continues for the life of the installation. Beyond year 2, we still service our own customers at cost (no markup). Most post-warranty service calls in years 3–5 are minor — typically $150–$400 for polymeric sand refresh, edge restraint adjustment, or minor settlement repair.
