Concrete foundations and slabs in Central Florida
Concrete foundations are the most important hardscape work on any structure — they’re what every wall, floor and roof loads onto. We install foundations for residential additions, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), workshops, sheds, gazebos, and small commercial buildings across Central Florida.
Monolithic slab foundations
The Central Florida standard for residential construction: a single pour combining the floor slab, perimeter footing, and thickened edges into one continuous element. 4 inches thick in the main slab area with 12-inch perimeter footings. Reinforced with steel rebar grid and #4 rebar in the footings.
Stem wall foundations
Used where the structure sits above grade or where soil conditions require it. Continuous concrete footing below frost line with concrete block stem wall up to slab height, then slab poured between walls.
Equipment pads and accessory slabs
Smaller pads for AC units, generators, hot tubs, sheds, RV parking. 4–6 inches thick depending on load, with appropriate reinforcement.
Soil testing and engineering
Foundations always require permits in Central Florida. For larger projects (additions over 200 sq ft, all commercial work), we coordinate soil testing and structural engineering as part of the project.
